Fisher Funds is delighted to announce the appointment of Ashley Gardyne as its new Chief Investment Officer following the decision by Frank Jasper to step down from the role.
Ashley is currently Senior Portfolio Manager – International Equities at Fisher Funds and has been part of the team for over eight years.
Fisher Funds CEO Bruce McLachlan says he’s delighted that the appointment was able to come from within Fisher’s award-winning investment team.
“While we’re obviously sad to see Frank go it is testament to his work nurturing outstanding talent in our investment team that we are able to replace him from within our own ranks.
“Ashley has been a stand-out member of our investment team generating superb results over the past eight years. His appointment to the CIO role will mean continuity of our investment approach and investment DNA infused with new energy and insights.
“Ashley will build on Fisher Funds’ already outstanding track record of investment performance which last month saw Fisher Funds become the first investment team to win both INFINZ Fund Manager of the Year award categories in the same year.
“Planning for this change has been underway for some time and I’d like to thank Frank for his work leading our investment team and we wish him all the best for the future.”
Commenting on his appointment Ashley Gardyne said “Frank has done a superb job as CIO and it’s an honour to take on the role from him. I look forward to continuing his track record of investment performance and working with the team to deliver outstanding returns to our clients.”
